We work alongside Chartered Building Surveyors, Fire Engineers, Façade Consultants and Building Owners to access any areas of
buildings they need to see with safe access, using licenced workmen.
WHY
The purpose of an intrusive survey is to determine the composition of the external wall by gathering information about its structure,
materials and condition. In the context of fire safety, it is particularly important to gather information regarding the fire compartmentation
measures in place and the combustibility rating of the materials used. An external intrusive survey can prove that design and materials
specified have indeed been used to construct the building.
HOW
To conduct an external intrusive survey , the outer layers of the façade must be removed at key locations around the building, such as at
compartment junctions and around openings to confirm potentially non-compliant design and installation. The intrusive survey will identify
the primary materials such as facings, insulations and substrates. Once the survey is complete, the façade is reinstated, and any access
equipment removed.
RSA pride ourselves in ensuring the reinstatement works are completed to the highest possible standards. All work is carried out by
licenced tradesmen who specialise in intrusive survey works. Our tradesmen are experienced in working with a variety of access equipment,
including Mobile Elevation Work Platforms (MEWP) and tower scaffolds.
We can provide all access equipment to undertake the surveys and we have a large range of plant and equipment to assist with all types of
surveys.
